Into every life a little rain must fall,

And hopefully a lot of snow…

Most of our area is dependant on how much, or how little precipitation, we receive. There would be no “winter” without the snow, and what kind of summer is it with too much rain (like last year’s - 2008)?

But how does this year stack up against last? Have we been getting more or less snow over the past 25 years? And what month is usually the “snowiest”?

Thanks to 25-year NOAA weather observer Betty Wing of Eustis we can answer those questions and more. Betty has provided us with the precipitation totals for 1984 to 2008 and the snowfall totals for 1983-84 to the end of 2008. Below you will find the actual tables as Betty filled them in. So check them out and answer some of your own questions. (Click on the image and it will open large and clear in a new window!)
