Ernestine C. Cahoone

1919-2002 -- She enjoyed knitting, playing Bingo, and spending time with her cat
FARMINGTON -- Ernestine C. Cahoone, 82, of Madrid, died Tuesday, March 19, 2002, at Franklin Memorial Hospital with her family by her side.She was born in Madrid, May 8, 1919, the daughter of Lonnie and Hazel (Reed) Corson. She was educated in the schools of Madrid. She made her home in Connecticut, for 13 years, then moved to Florida, for nine years, and then finally back to Madrid until her death.She was a member of the Reeds Mill Sewing Circle, and the Reeds Mill Baptist Church. She enjoyed knitting, playing Bingo, and spending time with her cat, Weezy. She especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She will be deeply missed by her loving family.Survivors include one son, Myron (Sonny) Witherell and his wife Gale of Appleton; two daughters, Jerreanne and her husband Bill Keating of Berlin, Conn., and Elaine Hubbard and her companion David Presby of Madrid; 16 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; a brother, Gerald Corson and his wife Evelyn of Strong; two sisters, Geraldine Morrell of Bangor and Marie Huff of Berlin, N.Y.; and two sisters-in-law, Irene Corson of Kingfield and Emily Corson of Port Charlotte, Fla.She was predeceased by her husband, William Cahoone; a son, Richard; a daughter, Catherine Bubier; a sister, Dorothy Kinney; and two brothers, Norman and Harold Corson.The funeral service was held Saturday, March 23, 2002, at the Phillips Methodist Church.Friends wishing to may make donations in her memory to the Reeds Mill Baptist Church, c/o Wilma Plog, RR 1, Box 750, Phillips, Maine 04966.
