Evergreen to play Skye Theater
      SOUTH CARTHAGE — New England Celtic Arts will present Maine's popular Bluegrass group, Evergreen, at Skye Theatre Performing Arts Center on Thursday, Oct. 30 at 7 p.m. There will be a pre-show jam at 6:15 p.m. Audience members are encouraged to bring their Instruments and jam for a few minutes with the artists.

Author Elise Juska to give reading
      FARMINGTON — The University of Maine at Farmington's Bachelor of Fine Arts in Creative Writing program has announced award-winning writer Elise Juska as the third reader in its 2008-2009 Visiting Writers Series. The reading will be held at 7:30 p.m., Thursday, Nov. 6, at The Landing in the UMF Olsen Student Center.
