Kids' art classes offered

WILTON — The Foothills Arts Center's November after-school art series offers drawing, watercolors, popup book characters, and collage for children in grades 1 through 3. The classes will meet on Wednesdays, Nov. 5, 12, and 19, from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m.

Children can choose to participate in all or any of the three classes: The Art of Story-Telling, Under the Sea, and Dinosaur Drawing. The teacher is Kim Jacques, who teaches art in SAD 9 and is a multi-media artist herself.

The classes will be held at the arts center at 284 Main St., Suite 190. The cost for each class is $10; pre-registration is required. To register or for more information, call 645-7117 or send email to info@foothillsarts.org.

Nov. 5: The Art of Story-Telling: pop-ups and collage.

Nov. 12: Under the Sea: Explore drawing and watercolor techniques and learn about sea creatures.

Nov. 19: Dinosaur Drawing: Learn about the world of dinosaurs and draw from models.
