The Kingfield Giving Tree is now accepting names of recipients for the upcoming holiday season. This community tree gives to Kingfield residents who are alone during the holidays, anyone who has recently been sick, or those who financially need assistance so that their family will have gifts to open this holiday season. If you or someone you know qualifies to have a tag on the tree contact Tracy Bessey at 265-4820; when calling be prepared with a list of gift ideas.

Tomorrow The Martha Webber Breast Care Center will hold its Open House from 3 to 5 p.m., at the Franklin Health Medical Arts Center (FMH) in Farmington. This is the perfect opportunity to check this fine facility and see what's new. If you have any questions, call 779-2555.

Friday is Halloween... So be on the lookout for all those ghosts and goblins, and witches and vampires, and McCains and Obamas out looking for a handout... ah, we mean treats. When in your car or truck, drive extra carefully and approach groups of kids with caution. Happy Halloween!

If your looking for an alternative to the usual Halloween haunts, Orchard Park & Edgewood living and rehabilitation centers in Farmington are again offering their "door-to-door knocking" for ages birth to grade six. This little party takes place from 5:30 to 6:30 at both facilities and allows the kids a safe place to trick-or-treat and gives the residents some new "faces" to see!

In the Stratton area, the Lions Club is once again, as they have for years, holding a Halloween party beginning at 6:30 p.m. in the Stratton-Eustis Community Building on Main Street. Always loads of fun, there will be games, food, contests, a raffle and a whole lot more!
