To the editor:

I just wanted to let everyone know what I thought of the Jr. High Soccer games last Friday night under the lights. I thought all four teams played awesome.

Both games were scoreless until the second half, meaning the kids played their hearts out, going end for end, kick for kick.

Rangeley and Strong girls were physically matched well, both teams working hard for the ball with Rangeley coming out on top. Congrats to them on their win.

The boys' game between Kingfield and Strong was another rematch from last year. Again, the boys came out fired up, ready to roll, but it wasn't until the second half that Strong came up with the first goal. Lopez knew his boys had to work hard if they wanted this win, and they did. They came back to score two goals late in the half to take the win. Congrats to them also.

I hope everyone else who watched the games thinks the same as I do. Even though it was very cold, the kids enjoyed playing under the lights just as much as I do coaching them. Kudos to all the teams this year throughout the season. I think they were all very well matched up and the kids played to their potential. Carrie Abbott Strong Soccer Coach Strong
