Tim Carter hosted a meeting with local Scenic Byways Coordinator Rebecca Kurtz and John Richardson, Director of the Department of Economic and Community Development, at "Height of Land."

The meeting was arranged to discuss opportunities for potential funding sources that may be available to further the efforts for a new overlook. The funding options discussed would be intended to augment any MDOT efforts at the location.

Upon arriving at the spectacular vista for the first time ever, Commissioner Richardson exclaimed, "This is an absolutely amazing view and unquestionably one of the best in New England." After pausing a moment to take it all in, Richardson continued, "I've heard many times over that 'Height of Land' was special and that I had to see it to believe it, but I'd never imagined it would be this spectacular."
