1921-2008 — He enjoyed his family, hunting, fishing and riding the country side

PHILLIPS — Forest C. White, died Nov. 1, 2008 at the age of 87 at his home in Phillips, with his family by his side.

He was born in Eustis, June 30, 1921, the son of the late Carl and Flora (Cook) White.

He worked for many local lumbering businesses driving truck until his retirement in 1981.

He enjoyed his family, hunting, fishing, riding the country side; he loved doing scratch tickets and his dog Isabelle.

He is survived by his wife, Christine, of 61 years; and his 12 children, Shirley Ford and husband, Albert, of Wilton, Beverly Sweetser and husband, Wilmot, of Phillips, Sandra Abbott and husband, Gerald, of Smithfield, Dennis White and spouse, Janet, of Phillips, Ronald White and spouse, Gayle, of Strong, Michael White and spouse, Betty, of Salem, Brenda Wilkins and companion, John Baston, of Strong, Kathy White and companion, Mike Jalbert, of Phillips, Bruce White and spouse, Paula, of Kingfield, and Scott White and spouse, Ann, of Strong, Clifford White and spouse, Brenda, of Vienna and Robert White of New Hampshire; 37 grandchildren; 41 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and a brother, Horace (Buddy) White of Frankfort.

He was predeceased by a sons, Lawrence B. & Richard White; brothers, Alvah, Cecil, and Lawrence (Fat) White; and sisters Angelina Searles and Caroline Brault.

At the request of the family there will be private services. If you would like to stop by at the home of Dennis and Janet White in Phillips on Sunday, Nov. 9, between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m., and share a fond memory with the family, please come.
