We received a nice e-mail from Paul Orbeton over the weekend. He says he is doing extremely well at the Potomac Job Corp Center where he is enrolled in the Transportation Communication Union program studying rail-lines. He hopes to be working on the Amtrak Downeaster sometime next summer! Great to hear from you Paul!

November marks "40 Years in Outerspace" according to Irregular reader Tom Andrle who send us an email saying the Outerspace Band has been around since Nov. 1, 1968.

Interesting, that's the same year the Irregular began, "in 1968 or thereabouts…" Must've been something in the air that year!

The Irregular has a new Web site, same URL, www.theirregular.com. We promise that the site will be updated early every Wednesday morning! If you had the Web site bookmarked (or favorite), please go back in and re-enter the address or you may come up to an old page, or a dead end.

The site is open to all now. But, beginning Dec. 1, www.theirregular.com will become a subscription site. For $25 a year, you can access the current week's online issue; from anywhere you have internet access… whether you are in your PJs, at work, at school, or at a party! (If you already have a print subscription, and want the on-line as well, it's just $10 more a year.) Our archives, photo galleries, classifieds, display ads, obituaries and Western Mountain Activities (calendar) will be open to all, all the time.

Speaking of our Photo Galleries, you can order photo reprints and other gift items directly from our Web site. We will also begin to post photos that didn't make the paper. So, if you see one of us snapping a bunch of photos at a sporting or school event, for example, and a photo of your son or daughter didn't get published in the paper, there's a good chance it will be in the photo gallery. Check it out!

Due to the Thanksgiving Holiday, the deadline for the Dec. 3 issue of the Irregular is Wednesday, Nov. 26 at noon. Display ads should be in the office by noon Tuesday, Nov. 25. And Classified ads should be here before 3 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 26. The Irregular will be closed Thanksgiving Day, Thursday, Nov. 27 and Friday, Nov. 28. We will reopen at our regular hours Monday, Dec. 1. Happy Thanksgiving!
