Break-ins under investigation NEW PORTLAND — Somerset County Sheriff's Department officials are investigating a break-in that occurred on Monday, Nov. 3 at Robinson's General Store on Route 27 at the West Village in New Portland. Deputy Eugene Cole said that owner of the store Philip Robinson discovered the break-in when he opened about 5 a.m. There was a forced entry, said Deputy Cole, who said he would rather not say at this time what was taken from the store as the break-in is still under investigation. The Robinson family opened their store in July of this year. In Kingfield on Saturday, night Woody Woods returned to his home during break time about 8:15 p.m. at the American Legion bingo to find a window broken in his trailer home on School Street. The Maine State Police is investigating that break-in. |
