STRATTON — The members of the Dead River Area Historical Society cordially invite the public to the Annual Meeting and Dinner on Sunday, Nov. 16 at 1 p.m. at the Community Building on Main Street.

A free potluck dinner and Pig-in-a-Poke Auction will follow. Just put something in a brown paper bag. No one is to know what is in the bag until they buy it. Everyone is welcome and bring a friend. A spokesperson for the organization said they hope this function is early enough in the day so out-of-town people can attend and make it home again before dark.

The drawing for the Angel Quilt, which is displayed at the Camden National Bank, will also be held that day. Tickets will be on sale before the drawing for those who haven't gotten one yet.
