Christmas show practices underway
      KINGFIELD — The 12th annual Kingfield Christmas show practices are getting underway at Webster Hall on Thursdays starting Nov. 20 at 4 p.m. All children are welcome to be a part of it. See Sue at the post office if you have any questions or call 265-4122.

Seniors' Thanksgiving meal offered
      KINGFIELD — The Bridging the Gap food program will be serving a Thanksgiving meal at Webster Hall in Kingfield on Saturday, Nov. 22 starting at 11:30 a.m. All senior citizens of Kingfield and surrounding areas are welcome to come. There is no cost to attend and children from the community will be helping serve and entertain.

Santa comes to Rangeley for breakfast
      RANGELEY — Santa, Mrs. Claus and the elves will be visiting the children again this year on Saturday, Dec. 6 at the Conference Center at the Wilhelm Reich Museum on Dodge Pond Road from 8 to 11 a.m. "Come and enjoy another great 'Breakfast with Santa,'" said Mary Henderson, a museum staff member.

Thrift Shoppe winter hours announced
      RANGELEY — The Thrift Shoppe located in the Undercroft of the Church of the Good Shepherd on Main Street, recently announced that it is changing over to winter hours. It will now operate exclusively on Saturday mornings from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., starting Nov. 15, providing the benefit of weekend access.

Spaghetti supper benefit
      CHESTERVILLE — There will be a benefit spaghetti supper at the Chesterville Town Hall on Saturday, Nov. 22 to help defray the medical expenses of Orin Knowles and Greg Soule. Both Chesterville residents have recently suffered serious injuries which will limit their activities for some time.
