Christmas fair at Fairbanks
FARMINGTON — The Fairbanks Union Church will present a "Neighborhood Christmas Fair" at the Fairbanks Meetinghouse School on Saturday, Dec. 6, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
A quiche and vegetable soup luncheon with dessert will be served from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Christmas items for sale include home baked beans at the food table, baked goods, candy, crafts, jewelry, plants, wreaths and a white elephant table. A special book sale will be attended to by Rev. Scott Planting, encouraging reading for children, teens and adults.
This will be the first time the Fairbanks church is holding an event in the newly completed Fairbanks Meetinghouse School instead of the church. Many years to rebuild this neighborhood school, which burned to the ground, and most of them had attended in their youth. Members cordially invite the public to join them in this neighborhood happening and see the results of their efforts.
Proceeds of the fair and luncheon will go to the Fairbanks Union Church to support its many local and outreach programs.
