MASTIC, N.Y. — Eileen Boyce was guest of honor at a special celebration for her 70th birthday on Oct. 8.

Four ladies, members of her family and two friends, had been picked up at their homes in a spectacular white stretch limo, which was then driven up to Eileen's front door in Mastic. And the surprise began…

Eileen's daughter, Laura, went in to tell her mom that she would be leaving in a limo for a place unknown. Eileen quickly changed her clothes and the journey began. A second stop was made to pick up two additional family members, Eileen's niece and her sister-inlaw.

After many stories and laughs, the limo arrived at Times Square. All the ladies went into Carmine's, a popular Italian New York City restaurant. After an unbelievable meal and a short walk across the street, the group entered the Schubert Theatre where they enjoyed the very, very funny Monty Python play Spamalot. Upon exciting the theater, the limo and chauffeur were waiting. The drive back to Long Island included more laughs.

The celebration had been planned and given by Eileen's daughter, Laura, son-in-law, Jonathan, granddaughter Chyna Komara, and Eileen's husband, Lou.

Eileen and her husband, Louis, own a vacation home in Kingfield.
