Hot Day At The Zoo comes to the Rack

CARRABASSETT VALLEY — The footstomping, bass-thumping live performances of progressive "Newgrass" string band Hot Day at the Zoo will be heard Saturday, Dec. 27 at the Rack, 5016 Access Road beginning at 9 p.m. This is a 21+ show; ticket price has yet to be announced.
Hot Day at the Zoo is a far cry from your typical bluegrass band. Although the instrumentation suggests a country vibe, HDATZ blends its diverse musical tastes into organic, honest and catchy tunes worthy of its widespread appeal.
After five years together, HDATZ released its sophomore EP Long Way Home on Nov. 18 on the band's own independent label, INTA Records.
Hot Day At The Zoo will also return to the area March 7, once again at the Rack.
