AVON — The Avon Fundraising Group is sponsoring the annual "Christmas in Avon" Craft sale on Saturday, Dec. 13 at Avon Community Hall from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

In addition to knitted items, baked goods, gift baskets, paper crafts, jewelry, raffles and table of gently used items for sale, the Junior Leo Club from Mt. Abram High School will be selling Christmas trees on site.

Also, new this year is a cookie decorating contest. The contest has four divisions: grades K-2, grades 3-5, grades 6-8 and grades 9-12. Prizes will be awarded and the entrance fee is 50 cents per entry; contestants may enter up to five cookies. The cookies must be brought to the Avon Community Hall between 3 and 4 p.m. Dec. 12 or between 7:30 and 8:30 p.m. Dec. 13. Present each entry (a single cookie) on a plain white background and include a separate sheet of paper with the entrant's names, address, age and phone number.
