Twin five-foot culverts on the Taylor Hill Pond in Strong have all they can do to handle the water flowing through them last Wednesday. While it started out as snow, in much of the area on Nov. 25 the precipitation turned to rain. Betty Wing NOAA weather observer in Eustis said that 1.87" precipitation and 6.1" snow fell that day. Monday morning, as we went to press Wing recorded 3.6" of snow .42" precipitation. She said that Sunday morning it was 10 degrees above, but that wasn't the coldest day last month. That honor went to Nov. 24 and 25 which saw 6 degrees above zero. November's warmest day was the 5th with 64 degrees.
