To the editor:

I would like to offer my condolences to the family of Steve Wiener who passed on recently. I knew him from the Avon Town Office, and I have to say, he was one of the funniest and the most honest men I have ever had the pleasure to meet! I will sincerely miss his weekly visits to Bear Hill Variety for breakfast.

Steve had his own "brand" of humor, which you understood, or you didn't. I did. Our community has lost a wonderful man and friend and he will be sadly missed for a long time to come.

So, with that said, I will end this note with one of Steve's most famous sayings..."Pleasure doin' business with ya sweetheart"! I will remember you always Steve! Christy White Madrid
