Open House scheduled
FARMINGTON — The Franklin County Children's Task Force will once again this year be hosting its Holiday Open House on Saturday, Dec. 13 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at its Church Street location.
The Open House will begin at the Tri-Valley United Way where Santa and his elves will be available for children to sit on his lap, receive a small gift and have their pictures taken by Luce Studios. Children can then follow the reindeer path to the top of the alley between the Children's Task Force and United Way offices to the top where they will enjoy a horse drawn carriage ride around Farmington before returning to the Children's Task Force office.
WKTJ will be on hand to catch the little ones on the radio as they sip their hot chocolate and fresh baked cookies from the Homestead Bakery, and all children will receive free hats and mittens that have been donated by local and not so local knitters.
This festive event is sponsored by the Franklin County Children's Task Force, The Downtown Business and Professional Association, the Homestead Bakery and the United Way of the Tri-Valley Area.
