To the editor:

Last Saturday, Dec. 20, as we (the Lifties) were preparing to open Double Runner East for the 8:30 a.m. opening, there was a group of 20 or so kids and a few adults mingling around our maze getting ready for us to open. As we announced that we were open, the kids told us that they had some presents for us.

They immediately took off their backpacks and started handing out big gingerbread cookies to all the lift attendants at all the lifts that were open on Saturday.

I was really touched by this act of kindness and I would like to thank all of the people involved with the Sugarloaf Area Ski Team, from the students to all the parents/adults involved in this act of thoughtfulness at this special time of year.
