Hot Day at the Zoo comes to the Rack
Hot Day at the Zoo will perform at the Rack March 7. CARRABASSETT VALLEY — The foot-stomping, bass-thumping progressive "zoograss" string band Hot Day at the Zoo is returning to the Rack, 5016 Access Road, Saturday, March 7, beginning at 9 p.m. This is a 21+ show and admission will be announced.
HDATZ is a far cry from your typical bluegrass band. Although the instrumentation suggests a country vibe, HDATZ blends their diverse musical tastes into organic, honest and catchy tunes worthy of their widespread appeal. After six years together, HDATZ released its sophomore EP Long Way Home on Nov. 18 on the band's own independent label, INTA Records.
"HDATZ brings a contemporary sensibility to its sound that makes it likeable to even the most bluegrassphobic listener," wrote a reviewer in Hippo Press.
