To the editor: I'm so darn sick of hearing and reading about the Voter family's fight with the town of Strong. If it's right for them to have their right of way or whatever, the town should do it. 1907-2009 — Richard will be known for his smile and hugs
KINGFIELD — Richard Edmond Lambert, age 101, has gone to be with the Lord he loved, Friday, Feb. 13, 2009 at the Edgewood Rehabilitation and Living Center in Farmington where he had been a resident for the past three months. He has joined his beloved wife of 68 years, Lucille, who died in April 1996 and their only daughter, Rosalind Lambert Starnes, who died in 1997. More...

PRESQUE ISLE - - As the Original Irregular was being sent to printer this week on Monday, a Web site revealed the Mt. Abram's Emily Luce had just won the women's State Title in giant slalom alpine racing. The Mt. Strong School K-2nd graders, above, celebrated the 100th day of school this past Tuesday. Each class created a paper chain with 100 links which they linked together at the final 'end of the day' celebration. In an effort to help their community, the students also gathered together canned goods, which they counted, in order to help support the Economic Ministry's local food pantry.
