KINGFIELD — The Kingfield Days committee is raising the funds needed for the this year's festival by holding a Price is Right Game, Saturday, April 4, at the Mt. Abram High School in Salem. Doors will open at 5 p.m. to register to play; game starts at 6.

Purchase your admission ticket in advance for $8 at any of these local businesses: Tranten's Family Market, Longfellow's Restaurant or Camden National Bank. Tickets will be available for purchase after March 14. The price of tickets at the door will be $10. Participants must be 18 years or older. Under age 18 will have free admission and get opportunities to win prizes during the game. There will be an auction immediately after The Price is Right for items the contestants did not win.

The money raised will be used to support the weekend of festivities which will include the parade, the "Whatever Floats" race, the artisan fair, kid- and teenoriented activities such as the climbing wall, the Amazing Race and new this year, the Northern Stars Planetarium.

"If you've been to a Kingfield festival you already know that it is jam-packed with lots to do from start up on Friday through closing on Sunday. This is thanks to the generosity of those donating to the fund raiser and our monetary donations. We couldn't do this without the community support. Thank you!" a spokesperson for the festival said.

The committee is soliciting area businesses and individuals for donations of items to be used for the Price is Right or money to go toward expenses. If you haven't been approached yet and would like to make a donation, contact Terry Handrahan at 628-5641 or Myra Coffin at 265-2700.

Kingfield Summer Festival Days is being held July 17, 18 and 19 this year. "It will be spectacular, of course!" the spokesperson said.
