CARRABASSETT VALLEY -— On Saturday, Feb. 21 the Parent Support Organization of Carrabassett Valley Academy will hold its annual Big Raffle and Auction at the Sugarloaf Inn from 6 to 9 p.m. Highlighting the event will be the drawing for the $10,000 grand prize winner. The raffle drawing also includes 30 prizes worth $100 or more.

Adding to the excitement and entertainment for the evening will be silent and live auction items featuring many unique handmade items and getaways, gift certificates to many local businesses and live music with CVA friends Uncle Al and Kenny.

"Proceeds from this event benefit Carrabassett Valley Academy's Scholarship Fund. These year scholarships were awarded to close to 40 percent of CVA's studentathletes. In these tough economic times the success of this year's Raffle Auction is crucial for these youngsters. Anyone that buys a ticket supports the kids and gets a chance to win the $10,000 grand prize, or any of the other great prizes and entrance to one of Sugarloaf's premier social events!" according to Carrabassett Valley Academy Parent Support Organization President, Sherri Tripp.
