Cynthia Ann Wing Moutray
BIRMINGHAM, Ala. — Cynthia Ann Wing Moutray of Birmingham, Ala. and a former resident of Kingfield, died Sunday, Feb. 22, 2009 at the Veterans Hospital in Birmingham following a brave battle with cancer.
She was born Jan. 13, 1947 in Waterville, the daughter of Thais Norene Brayall Wing and Earl Lytton Wing Jr.
She was a graduate of Kingfield High School in 1965 where she excelled in softball and basketball. She was also an honor student. Following graduation she served in the U.S. Army as an MP from November 1975 to October 1982. She attended the University of Maryland where she studied Criminal Justice and Business Administration Finance.
She was co-owner of Quality Green Landscaping in Birmingham, Ala. She was a sports fan and followed the New England Patriots.
She was predeceased by her parents; her brothers, Mark and Daniel.
Survivors include a sister, Deborah Weatherwax and husband, Paul; a brother, David and wife, Lynn; many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and - nephews, aunts, uncles; and her precious cat, Kobe Kitty. She is also survived by her former husband, Larry Moutray with whom she remained close throughout her life.
Services will be held March 21, 2009 at the Covenant Community Church at 5117 First Avenue North, Birmingham, Ala., where she was an active member for many years and where donations may be sent.
