Sadie White LEWISTON — Sadie L. White, of Wyman Township, was named to the dean's list at Bates College as a result of her scholastic standing during the fall semester of the 2008-2009 academic year.

White, a Sociology major, is a 2005 graduate of Mt. Abram High School. She is the daughter of Stephen and Marcia White of Wyman Township.

White's undergraduate activities include participation with America Reads and America Counts in Lewiston/Auburn elementary schools, and the Bollywood Dance.

Bates College is widely regarded as one of the finest U.S. liberal arts colleges. Founded in 1855 by abolitionists, Bates' graduates have always included men and women from diverse racial, ethnic and religious backgrounds.
