To the editor:

Here is an opportunity to bring smiles to faces and visitors to our town.

Do you love where you live? Do you enjoy the people who live and visit here? Do you like helping bring a smile to someone's face? We need your help and passion. So many wonderful folks have helped grow one of our town's signature summer events. It is time to pass the torch and look for you, young or old to be involved in these celebrated groups of people who care.

Please be part of what you enjoy most of our community. Make a difference and feel the personal pride when you help with these important events, which helps our residents, businesses and local organizations. Success is guaranteed when you get involved with just a bit of time.

Kingfield Days has grown to a wonderful three-day event. Kingfield Days is in need of event volunteers. Many volunteers are needed in order to continue with the success of this very special weekend. Without more/new volunteers the demise of Kingfield Day's looks promising. Volunteers are desperately needed for the Artisan Fair, the Grand Parade, advertising, coordinating the brochure… just to name a few for the 2009 event. There's something for everyone.

Please get involved by joining us at 10 a.m., Saturday, April 11 at Longfellow's Restaurant. For more information, you can call Myra Coffin at 265-2700 or email mcoffin@tds.net.

Our fundraising committee has worked extremely hard to organize this year's fundraising event, "The Price Is Right" game. It will be a fun-filled, action-packed night! There are many great prizes to be won and/or auctioned off. It's JUST like the TV show. Contestants will be called down by a "Bob Barker" to get their chance to get on stage and work toward the grand showcases. There is FREE admission for children 18 years and younger, games and prizes for children under 18 throughout the show. There are a limited number of tickets so buy now! What a fun way to support Kingfield Days. Thank you for your support, For the Kingfield Days Committee Tammy Goldfrank Kingfield
