Walkin' Jim Stoltz visits RLRS
Hiker Walkin' Jim Stoltz, will bring his multimedia show with a mix of photographs, songs and stories and share it with RLRS students on Friday, April 17. RANGELEY — The Rangeley Lakes Regional School will have a visit from hiker Walkin' Jim Stoltz, who has walked 27,000 miles. He will bring his multimedia show with a mix of photographs, songs and stories and share it with RLRS students on Friday, April 17.
His first performance will be at 8:30 to 9:20 a.m. for K- 5 grades, the second performance will be at 9:45 to 10:35 a.m. for MS and HS in the MPR.
The public is invited to hear these stories of this hiker who began his hiking career in 1974 thru-hiking the Appalachian Trail. And who has helped hundreds of local organizations to gain support for wildlife and clean water. Stoltz has received the Environmental Protection Agency's Outstanding Achievement Award for promoting nature.
