Pianists sought for master class in August
RANGELEY — Pianists preparing for their senior piano recitals, auditioning for music schools or serious piano players looking for a boost are encouraged to participate in a piano Master's Class being held this summer.
On Monday, Aug. 17, concert pianist Julian Gargiulo will be presenting a Master's Class in the afternoon and a concert in the evening.
Gargiulo performed at the United Nations on April 30, in a program that included music by Scarlatti, Tchaikovsky, Chopin, Debussy and Rachmaninoff. He performs regularly throughout the world in halls such as Carnegie Hall, Moscow Conservatory Hall, Verona Philharmonic Hall in Italy, The Esplanade in Singapore and the Seymour Theatre Centre in Australia.
Full information on Gargiulo may be found on his Web site: www.juliangargiulo.com.
Pianists interested in participating in the Master's Class should express interest and send a brief bio to Jeff Ellinwood, Rangeley Friends of the Arts, PO Box 1274, Rangeley, Maine 04970 or to jellinwd@localnet. com. Participants will be selected in July and the Master's Class is open to the public.
