Patriotic organ music on tap July 5

The Watermelon Music Series

RANGELEY — The Church of the Good Shepherd the first in its the second annual series of summer musical events, The Watermelon Music Series.

Sunday, July 5, beginning at 6 p.m. the church will present Stars and Stripes, a concert of Patriotic Songs performed on the powerful church organ by Robert Ludwig, full-time Organist and Choirmaster at Garden City's (N.Y.) Cathedral of the Incarnation where he is also a full-time teacher.

In addition to his work as a choral director and solo organist, Ludwig is widely recognized for his expertise as an accompanist, with collaborations including world-renowned classical instrumentalists and singers, Broadway revues, world class choirs and students.

The concert is free; donations will be accepted for the church's music and outreach programs.
