Hendersons celebrate 50th

(Submitted photo) RANGELEY — About 150 family and friends gathered Saturday, March 21 at the Club House to celebrate the 50th wedding anniversary of Lee (Pete) and Mary Henderson of Stratton.

Pete and Mary were married on March 20, 1959 in Stratton. Their wedding took place in the same house in which they currently live in Stratton.

After a buffet luncheon, the group enjoyed a beautifully decorated anniversary cake made by Linda Henderson. The couple's daughter, Sheila, made a toast to their marriage calling it a love story. Arrangements for the celebration were made by the couple's children, Sheila Raymond of Rangeley, Holly Taylor of Eddington and Kandi Henderson of Stratton.

The couple now looks forward to celebrating their 50 years of marriage by taking a tour across the United States to include a cruise to Alaska.
