1938-2009 — He touched the lives of many and was loved by all

LEWISTON — Lawrence E. Hall died in Lewiston on May, 12, 2009.

He was born Aug. 31, 1938, a longtime resident of the Rangeley area.

Larry lived on Toothaker Island, Mooselookmeguntic Lake, where he built and lived his dream. He was a lifelong ocean sailor, homesteader, builder, accountant, bicyclist, XC skier, sports fan, father and loving husband. He touched the lives of many and was loved by all.

He was a former board member of the library and XC ski club. He performed in musicals for the RFA. He lived his life to the fullest and left it suddenly after a short battle.

He grew up in Waltham, Mass. and Tallahassee, Fla.He first came to Rangeley in 1980 and began living here yearround in 1984.

He is survived by two brothers; a sister; his wife; and two children.

Donations may be sent to the Rangeley Lakes Trail Center in his honor.

A celebration of his life will be held on Toothaker Island in August.
