EAST WILTON — The East Wilton Union Church will be hosting its annual August "Concerts on the Lawn" series starting Aug. 2. The public is invited and encouraged to attend.

These concerts are held on Sunday evenings in August and begin at 6 p.m. The East Wilton Union Church is located at 1306 Main Street.

Chairs are provided but you are welcome to bring your own lawn chair. In case of inclement weather, the concerts will be held inside. Light refreshments and a time of fellowship will follow each concert. The concerts are free, but there will be an opportunity for a free-will offering. The concert schedule is as follows: Aug. 2 — Rev. Garrett Johnston & family from East Longmeadow, Mass. Aug. 9 — Greater Purpose, a local Gospel group Aug. 16 — New Beginnings, a local Gospel duo Aug. 23 — Journey Home, a family Gospel singing group from Wilton Aug. 30 — Sammie Angel from Dixfield For more information, call East Wilton Union Church at 645-4297.
