Complimentary moose watching tours offered

RANGELEY — Saddleback's new Guest Service Center is offering complimentary moose watching tours twice each week in the Rangeley Lakes region.

The Moose Tour departs from the Guest Service Center at 7:15 p.m. on Monday and Thursday evenings on the Saddleback Shuttle. Tours are about an hour and half long, depending on how many moose are seen each night.

Free for all locals and guests visiting the Rangeley area, moose tours are a popular and unique form of outdoor recreation and provide excellent photo opportunities.

"This is a really good tour and it's free," said Karl & Peggy Walbridge of Burlington, Vt. "It's exciting to see the moose."

The Moose Tour follows Route 16, also known as "moose alley" which heads to the Stratton-Eustis area.

"Everyone has had a great time on the tours and Saddleback is pleased to offer them," said Kara Wilson of the Guest Service Center. "We saw nine moose this past Monday; nine is the record holder for a night."

Reservations are required; contact Guest Service Center at 864-5496.
