Thanks for your concern and caring
To the editor:
Thank you to our friends in the Carrabassett Valley community for all of the cards, emails, phone calls and visits after the death of my father, Don Weston.
Your kind words are deeply appreciated by all in our family. The note from my attorney was especially touching, as were the flowers sent by the gentleman who Dad always enjoyed visiting at the pit.
Dad loved the woods and enjoyed his trips to the Valley. His first visits to the area were as a kid, traveling up from the farm in Madison to "pick blueberries," although it was really just a chance for the men to get away for a few days between haying and harvesting the crops. I suspect they enjoyed numerous "happy hours" on those trips. Now it is up to me to carry on the tradition. It's a tough task, but someone has to do it!
Thank you again. Judy and I look forward to seeing all of you soon. Peter Weston Scarborough
