Youth fall soccer returns through WMTSA
      SALEM —- Registration is underway for the Western Mountain Youth Soccer Association's 2009 fall recreational soccer program. This program begins on Sept. 13 with registrations due by Sept. 10. Interested participants can either download and mail in their registrations form or complete an online registration.

      V: Mt. Abram, 2 — Mt. Blue, 1 JV: Mt. Blue, 3 — Mt. Abram, 1 SALEM — The Mt. Abram boys' varsity and junior varsity soccer teams hosted scrimmage games with Mt. Blue last Thursday, Aug. 27. In varsity action, after hitting the posts throughout most of the first half, MTA's Ian Daly and Jim Barker found their shots in the second half for a 2-1 win.

Tailgate party at Mt. Blue
      FARMINGTON — The 13th annual Mt. Blue Tailgate Party will be held before the Mt. Blue-Mt. Ararat varsity football game on Sept. 18 in the Mt. Blue High School parking lot. The meals available are: a grilled half chicken meal for $6; a quarter-pound hamburger meal for $5; or a two hot dog meal for $5. All meals include coleslaw, chips, brownie and drink.
