Canine Basic Obedience course offered
PHILLIPS — MSAD #58 Adult & Community Education will be offering a Canine Basic Obedience course beginning on Tuesday, Sept. 22, running every Tuesday evening from 6 to 7 p.m. for six weeks at the Phillips Area Community Center.
The class, instructed by Carol Rogers, western Maine trainer for Guiding Eyes for the Blind, will include topics on housebreaking, basic obedience, people greeting, canine health care, curbing bad habits and more.
Discover if your dog is food or praise motivated and learn the principles of exercise, discipline and affection.
The cost of the course is $75 per person, per canine.
"Do something great for your best friend and yourself, basic obedience training can make a difference in the canine-human relationship for years to come," a spokesperson urged.
