Lakeside Dance resumes September 21
RANGELEY — Lakeside Dance Academy in Rangeley, under the direction of Pam Ellis, announces its upcoming fall session.
New to the teaching staff is LDA graduate Raina Eustis offering a much anticipated Hip Hop class. Lily Gacki will again be offering her popular class for preschoolers.
Ballet, Tap and Jazz classes for all levels and ages are offered in two locations: the Rangeley Wellness Pavilion and the Rangeley Lakes Regional School.
Student Registration will occur at the first class. All classes meet once a week for 10 weeks, from Sept. 21 through Dec. 4, observing school holidays and cancellations, with make-ups the week of Dec. 7. The Rangeley Friends of the Arts is sponsoring all classes with its grant funding program this session. The class schedule is as follows:
Mondays (at the Rehab Center) - - 3 to 4 p.m. Intro to Dance, preschool (Gacki), 6 weeks beg Oct. 5); 4 to 5 p.m. Ballet I, grades 1 to 2; 6 to 7 p.m. Hip Hop, grades 8 to adult (Eustis).
Tuesdays (at the Rehab Center) — 3 to 4 p.m. Ballet II, grades 3 to 5; 4 to 5:15 p.m. Ballet III, grades 6 to adult; 5:15 to 5:45 p.m. Pointe*, grades 6 to adult. *Students taking Pointe must also be enrolled in Ballet III. Permission of the instructor is required to participate.
Wednesdays (at RLRS) — 3:30 to 4:15 p.m. Tap I, grades 4 to adult**; 4:15 to 5 p.m. Tap II; grades 7 to adult**. **Instructor will make final determinations as to which class is best for each student.
Thursdays (at the Rehab Center) — 3 to 4 p.m. Jazz I, grades 4 to 6; 4 to 5 p.m. Jazz II, grades 7 to adult.
