Music fest comes to Livermore
LIVERMORE — The third annual Maine Cultural and Music Festival will be held Friday to Sunday, Sept. 25 to 27 on Route 4, beside the Carriage House Café behind the Dragon Knights Gift Shop.
Friday's events begin at 4 p.m. with the music of Syndicate 19, followed by an arms demonstration by the Vikings of Vinholm at 5 p.m. Other music that evening includes Paul Lovell and the Blues Machine and the Crash Road Band.
The Vikings of Vinholm start of Saturday with another arms demonstration at 11 a.m. (and again at 3 p.m.). Music on Saturday includes Two Other Guys, Asylum, Jim Tilton on flute and Red Cross Sky. Additional events Saturday include the Habbibi Belly Dancers, and the Rev. Hans Dewitt. At 5 p.m. there will be a Medieval pig roast.
Sunday, the Vikings return at 11 a.m. and 4 p.m., as do Paul Lovell and the Blues Machine, Syndicate 19 and Two Other Guys. The event concludes with a country BBQ at 5 p.m.
Donations at the gate go to two little boys, Ethan Hines and Kyle Kopec, to help them get Miracle Dogs which will help them attend school and live normal lives.
