NORTH JAY –- Western Maine improv troupe, Teachers Lounge Mafia will perform at the Jay-Niles Library Friday, Oct. 2, at 7:30 p.m. for a free evening of mature-rated improv comedy.
Armed with only their wits and the suggestions of the audience, Teachers Lounge Mafia delivers over an hour of improvised comedy. Sometimes the laughs come in the form of audience-interactive games and sometimes in the shape of longer scenes and storylines.
Teachers Lounge Mafia has performed throughout western and central Maine, most recently bringing its particular brand of improv comedy to The Granary in Farmington.
The group consists of local comic actors Jeff Bailey, Natalie Bean, Alex Kreitzman, Gavin Pickering, Emily Pottle, Dan Ryder, and Kyla Wheeler, several of whom have appeared onstage as members of area comic groups Lawn Chair Pirates and Curtain Raisers.
This free event at Jay-Niles Library runs for one night only, Friday, Oct. 2, at 7:30 p.m. While admission is free, donations of non-perishables to aid the library’s recent food drive are encouraged. Show contains mature content.
