Haunted train rides again in Phillips
PHILLIPS — The Sandy River and Rangeley Lakes Railroad Haunted Train returns Oct. 10 beginning at 6:45 p.m. New this year is a shuttle from Main Street to the train station and back; shuttle vehicles will be marked by a pirate flag.
While patrons wait for the train, they will be able to enjoy music and purchase refreshments at the Witches’ Brew CafĂ©. Another new feature this year will be Fortune Telling for a small fee.
The SR&RL will use more cars than in past years providing shorter wait times.
Adults cost $5 each and children $3.
More volunteers are always in demand, including high school students seeking to fulfill their Community Service.
For more information or to volunteer, call Sue Ellsworth at 684-4520 or Melonie Ross at 684-3113.
Proceeds will benefit the SR&RL, Scott Paul Memorial Park and the Richard Parker Memorial.
