Sugarloaf #3 in the east
CARRABASSETT VALLEY -– The annual SKI Magazine Reader Poll, the oldest and most widely recognized ski resort ranking, has listed Sugarloaf as the number three resort in the east for Overall Satisfaction this year, and in the top 10 in 11 different categories. Sugarloaf finished behind Tremblant in Quebec and Smuggler’s Notch in Vermont, and was the only Maine resort to reach the top 10 in the Overall Satisfaction category
“While these rankings aren’t the be-all end-all for ski resorts, the number three rating is excellent for us and something that we’re very proud of,” said Ethan Austin, Sugarloaf Communications Manager.
“The SKI Magazine rankings are voted on by the readers, so the Overall Satisfaction category is a good barometer of the impression our guests have after a vacation at Sugarloaf. All of our employees work hard throughout the season to provide the best service possible for our guests, and I think this is a testament to that.”
Sugarloaf finished in the top 10 in 11 of SKI’s 18 eastern resort categories, including Snow (#5), Terrain Variety (#2), Challenge (#2), Service (#8), and Value (#8). For SKI Magazine’s complete list of eastern resort rankings, visit http://www.skinet.com/ski/node/ 101620/list.
SKI’s sister publication Skiing ranked Sugarloaf as the #4 resort in the east in its annual Resort Awards. Skiing rankings are determined by magazine editors.
