Lady Roadrunners’ season winding down

SALEM –- Following eight days off after falling to Mtn. Valley by the score of 1-0 last Monday, Oct. 5 the Lady Roadrunners resumed action on Tuesday, Oct. 13 against Madison.

Mt. Abram out-shot the Lady Falcons 15-7, but it took just one bad break, and one defender to beat for Mtn. Valley to take the advantage.

They’ll host Jay on Thursday, Oct. 15 with JV action starting at 4 p.m. with varsity to follow at 6 p.m. and finish their regular season at Dirigo.

Currently the Lady Roadrunners (5-5-1) are sitting in sixth place in standings with little room for advancement. Georges Valley is sitting in the fifth seed with a 9-0-1 behind Hall-Dale with an identical record.

Post season play-offs are around the corner.
