RFA plans annual meeting
RANGELEY — The Rangeley Friends of the Arts will hold its annual meeting on Nov. 2, at 6:30 p.m. at the Undercroft of the Church of the Good Shepherd. At this board of directors meeting (which is open to the public) the 2009 program season will be reviewed and plans for 2010 will be on the agenda.
The annual RFA pageant “Walk to Bethlehem” will be held in downtown Rangeley on Dec. 13. For many years, the people of the town have gathered at the Rangeley Inn on Main Street to celebrate the true meaning of Christmas. Leading the procession of carolers from the inn to each of the four downtown Rangeley churches will be Mary and Joseph, shepherds and the three wise men. By tradition, a Rangeley area couple and their newborn portray Mary, Joseph and baby Jesus. The procession concludes at the Church of the Good Shepherd where a Christmas program will reward all those who attend.
The Rangeley Men’s Chorus will be performing at the Walk to Bethlehem and will be rehearsing for a two-week period just prior to the Dec. 13 performance. Call 864-2963 for more information and join the men for this season’s performance.
