Hands-on look at engineering design excellence
Jim LaBrecque, Gary Sweatt and Clark Leach, masterminds behind the sate-of-the-art engineering heating, air conditioning and refrigeration system technologies at the Tranten’s stores, stand with engineering design students from Mt. Blue High School. Mt. Blue students under the instruction of Jake Bogar visited the Tranten’s stores in Kingfield and Farmington to get a better understanding of how the store exceeds industry averages for savings in energy consumption. The Tranten stores use dramatically less electricity per square foot than the industry standard in the warehouse-distribution sector, while at the same time Tranten’s uses no fossil derived fuels to heat or cool their two grocery stores.
