Kingfield tree lighting planned, Dec. 4
      KINGFIELD — The town’s Christmas Tree Lighting celebration will be held Friday, Dec. 4, beginning at 5:30 p.m. at the Maple Street end of Centennial Bridge. There will be a live Nativity, choir, hot cocoa, cider, cookies and a Santa’s Workshop where the kids can make something special to take home.

      RANGELEY — With the passage of the Reorganization Plan for the Rangeley Lakes School Union #37, the towns of Dallas Plantation, Magalloway Plantation, Rangeley and Sandy River Plantation will be moving forward with the implementation of the region’s plan.

Webster Free Library Thanksgiving hours
      KINGFIELD — Barbara Stewart, Librarian at Webster Free Library, announced last week that the library will be open only from 10 a.m. to noon on Wednesday, Nov. 25, the day before Thanksgiving. School nurses report great success with vaccine
      PHILLIPS -– MSAD #58 Superintendent Quenten Clark reported last Tuesday, Nov. 10 that the district conducted seasonal or swine flu clinics in every one of their five schools. “We vaccinated over 60 percent of our students for swine flu and a similar number for seasonal flu,” Clark said.

      RANGELEY — The Rangeley Lakes Regional School Board recently released the agenda for its Nov. 24 meeting, originally slated for Nov. 10.
