PTC Christmas Craft Fair

2009-11-18

STRATTON -- Don’t miss out on Stratton’s annual holiday event this Saturday the 21st from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

“Shopping for Christmas gifts and wreaths, and purchasing delicious homemade baked goods at the Stratton School PTC Christmas Craft Fair is an excellent way to spend your Saturday morning,” organizer Jessi Gould said.

There will be new and returning artisans and crafters selling painted glassware, jewelry, knit hats & mittens, holiday gifts & decorations and much more. In addition to this wonderful variety of locally crafted items, there will also be cookie decorating, chair massages, performances by the Stratton All-Star Steel Drum Band and an opportunity to have your picture taken with Santa.

A special opportunity for kids to make or purchase gifts for their family members is also back by popular demand thanks to the Stratton Rec. Program. The kids-only room (located in the art room) will offer supervised craft projects and a variety of gifts to purchase for a small fee. Summer Rec. Elves will provide gift wrapping in the hallway so the children’s surprises can be kept secret until Christmas morning.

Childcare will be provided on-site by local high school students under the supervision of Millie Howard. Parents should provide their own child's snacks. Donations are appreciated, but not required, and will benefit the programming of the Stratton School PTC.

Donations for the baked goods table continue to be welcomed. If you would like to contribute, contact Jodi Caldwell at 670-5868. Raffle tickets will also be sold throughout the morning with the prize winners drawn at the end of the fair.

The Stratton School PTC extends a “thank you” to all the friends and supporters of this annual community event.
