AS THE LEAVES TURN

2009-11-18 / Irregular Regulars

Watch for Brenda Davis’s walking tour this Thursday on the streets of Kingfield in her quest to raise awareness about the severity of hunger in Maine. Davis is the executive director of Cross Road Ministries and raised over $120,000 for local communities and their food pantries. The walking tour is part of the Maine Credit Unions Campaign for Ending Hunger, which has raised over $3.1 million in the past. Look for Brenda in her yellow vest, hard hat and fast stride down Route 27 in Kingfield, just one of the 56 communities she’ll visit this tour.

We ran into Clay Tranten last week who was very eager to tell us about the newest addition to his family. No it’s not a hound dog, this time his daughter Katherine gave birth to Clay and Carolyn’s first grandchild, Haylee Grace. How long will it be before Clay has this little girl out coon hunting with him? Congratulations to the parents, Katherine and Garrett!
