Deputies investigate bank alarm
WESTERN MOUNTAINS — Following are summaries of the Franklin County Sheriff’s Department and North Star Ambulance Service’s activities last week.
Franklin County Sheriff’s Department
The Franklin County Sheriff’s Department dispatchers were busy last week sending department members to several local communities.
On Nov. 6 deputies responded to an accident on Route 145 in Freeman Township, investigated a suspicious vehicle on the Mt. Blue Pond Road in Avon and did a welfare check on the Mt. Blue Road in Avon.
On Nov. 7 deputies responded to an alarm going off on Main Street in Strong and another alarm going off on the Salem Road in Freeman Township.
On Nov. 9 deputies answered a civil complaint on Pleasant Street in Rangeley, gave out a written warning on Main Street in Kingfield, a written warning on Route 27 in Eustis and responded to an electrical fire on Grandview Avenue in Rangeley, gave out a written warning on Route 4 in Phillips and responded to a 911 hangup on the Reed Mills Road in Phillips.
On Nov. 10 deputies responded to a fire rescue on Route 27 in New Vineyard, a charge of harassment on Main Street in Rangeley, a theft on Main Street in Rangeley, issued a summons on Route 27 in Carrabassett Valley, gave out a written warning on Main Street in Kingfield and issued a defect card on the Chandler Road in Strong.
On Nov. 11 deputies gave out a written warning on Route 27 in New Vineyard, a written warning on Route 17 in Rangeley and a defect card on the Reeds Mill Road in Madrid.
On Nov. 12 deputies did an investigation on Route 27 in Eustis, responded to a bank alarm going off on Depot Street in Kingfield, assisted another agency on Route 27 in New Vineyard, responded to an accident on the Fairbanks Road in Farmington, investigated a traffic offense on Route 27 in Eustis and on Main Street in Stratton and responded with a K9 unit to Main Street in Rangeley.
On Nov. 13 deputies responded to a 911 hang-up on Main Street in Kingfield, responded to an escape on County Way in Farmington and gave out a written warning on Route 4 in Avon.
NorthStar Ambulance Service
The NorthStar Ambulance Service had a busy week according to general manager Mike Senecal with one call to Carrabassett Valley, one to Chesterville, one to Dallas Plantation, one to Eustis, 16 to Farmington Center, 48 to Farmington, one to Freeman, two to Freeman Township, two to Industry, five to Jay, one to Kingfield, one to Lewiston, one to Lexington Township, six to Livermore, 13 to Livermore Falls, three to New Portland, one to New Sharon, one to New Vineyard, one to North Anson, one to Phillips, four to Rangeley, one to Stratton, two to Strong, one to Temple, one to Vienna and nine calls to Wilton.
