By Rep. Tom Saviello

Are you alone for Thanksgiving dinner? Are you shut in and can not get out for Thanksgiving dinner? Then I have an offer you cannot refuse.

On Thanksgiving Day between 11:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. the 8th annual Thanksgiving dinner for greater Franklin County, sponsored by the Scottish Rite Masons, Augusta Valley, will be served at Mt. Blue High School.

Anyone desiring a meal delivered to their home should call Rufus or Charlene at 779-0641. The callers should provide their name, address, telephone number and how many meals are needed. The meal and delivery are FREE!

Volunteers are welcomed to call to see what they can do to help. Or they can just show up at the high school at 7 a.m. Those that cannot make it to the high school can help by donating money or food or make a pie.

Last year there were over 400 participants. They helped prepare the meals, set up tables, serve dinner, deliver dinner and most importantly EAT DINNER! This year the sponsors and volunteers are hoping to serve more people. If you have any questions on how you can help, call Rufus and Charlene. An extra helping hand or pie can go a long way to making this dinner a continuing a success. This year we need additional turkeys cooked.

If you have any questions please do not hesitate to call me either at 645-3420 or e-mail me at drtom16@hotmail.com
